The format of the Lab Rat show is generally a competitive form of improv featuring short scenes, songs, and other warm-up or elimination games. Using audience suggestions as their base, the players spring into scenes competing for audience laughs. In the current Duel of Fools format, two teams are introduced and they battle for laughs and scored points from the audience judges - Olympic style. The team with the most points at the end of the game will win!!!! The prize? Bragging Rights until next week.
The Lab Rats group is led by John Hunter, a SAK professional ensemble member who conducts the weekly workshops, schedules players for the shows, and gives notes on performances.
From time to time the Lab Rats will compete in a tournament to see which team will win the coveted "Stanley Saucer."
